KLAW fulfills its objectives through unpaid volunteers including year-round and seasonal residents from Kismet and neighboring communities.

Thanks to their generosity, KLAW has been able to increase the assistance given the cats and kittens found in this community.

KATTAILS

DINI was born in the late fall to an elusive Calico feral mother. Dini was the only surviving kitten of her mother's last litter. She has stayed with her mother in the yard with a feeding station, though she has been seen checking out alternative living quarters.

GUS was a long-term resident of the Kismet cat community after arriving during a long-ago winter. He traveled around Kismet, appearing at different doorsteps and feeding stations. As he aged, he developed medical problems. Gus found a home and good health care with friends in a neighboring community.

LOVEY was found on a neighboring island where she had been fed by local restaurant workers and brought to Kismet. Her right eye had been severely injured by a Seagull which hurt her prospects for adoption. Then a visitor fell in love with her, adopted her and took her back with him to Florida.
